"Then, I, the Lord, will rule from Jerusalem as their king forever. As for you, Jerusalem, the citadel of God’s people, your royal might and power will come back to you again. The kingship will be restored to my precious Jerusalem.” Micah 4: 7-8

Around 750 B.C., it was sacked and burned, and the people went into exile. The Toltec chieftain, Mixcoatl led his people from the north to conquer the Valley of Mexico. Legend attributed to him the benefits of civilization, such as corn, the calendar, the arts and writing. He founded Tula as capital city. The Aztecs called Teotihuacan, the city of the gods. Because, when a great ruler or representative of the high ruling class died or lost power, he became a god. Aztecs believe it was at Teotihuacan where the world, man, and the gods were created. 

The origin of the gods, the world, and man is called "ometeotl": "ome" means two, and "teotl" means god or divine. Each age of rulership is represented by a sun, and each sun is considered a god. While each god or sun was in power, an age existed. Thus, the world has been created and recreated four times. The Fifth Age or Sun of the world began in 843 A.D. before Hernan Cortes landed in Mexico to usher in a new world age. This age or sun ended in 1987 with the Fall of the Berlin Wall. Since 1987, we began the Sixth Age or Sun of the world. The four ruling sons of Ometeotl, namely, Tezcatlipoca, Quetzalcoatl, Tlaloc, and Chalchiuhtilicui were entrusted with the creation  or re-creation of the world, man, and the gods. Through internal power struggle and competition between these four sons, humanity or world affairs and destiny are reshaped, the world is changed or destroyed, and as king-makers, they compete on world stage to bring forth new gods or world rulers. Know this for sure and be relax. World rulers and men make plans how to rule and run the world, but the Most High God has the final say ! On God's calendar and appointed time, there will be a world order.  

Micah gives us an endtime picture of the world finally under the dominion of God’s new world order. God’s kingdom is ever growing and crushing all forms of world dominion that stand in opposition to heaven’s government. The final stage of the clash of two global spiritual dominions on earth will bring to the scene the ultimate and lasting age of divine restoration. God’s government is coming on planet earth through his ruling house. God’s house will occupy the top of the world mountain of government on earth. The top of the world mountain of government takes control of the judicial, legislative, political, economic, and spiritual centre of the world. It writes and implements laws and decrees for all other mountains of power to follow, thereby affecting the international arena of decision making. 

The Lord is releasing his governmental mandate upon the earth through his sons and daughters in position of influence and government, just as He did with Joseph in Egypt. God rules upon the earth through his sons and daughters in position of authority or leadership. To grasp how God is bringing about a final and lasting new world order upon the earth, one needs to connect together 4 fundamental political dots: 

One, Jerusalem is a key focal point and the center of all nations of earth as far as God’s coming government is concerned.  

Two, a king along a dynasty of kings or rulers will preside over the affairs of world government on earth. 

Three, the Davidic throne fulfills 7 cardinal purposes for world government on earth. These seven hallmarks of the Davidic government stand as a seal of approval that a leader governs from the throne of David.

Four, the Messiah’s government on earth will be established and manifested. There will be divine harmony around the circle.

I. Jerusalem Is A Spiritual City. Who Could Climb the mountain of the Lord?  The one with clean hands, pure heart, who does not swear deceitfully.

Quetzalcoatl is the second sun. He is represented as the god of civilization and order. Tlaloc the third sun, is the god of rain. And Chalchiuhtilicui or Huitzilopochtli is the fourth sun, the god of war and the people of the sun. The competition between these four sons is what shape the destiny of the world and man, bringing  destruction and rebuilding on earth.

Mistakenly enough, when people hear about kingship restoration in Israel, one common pitfall is to quickly rush for an ancestry DNA test to warm up for some dubious leadership paternity entitlement or to entertain fiction around living in a lavish palace. The purpose of God’s government on earth is not about the restoration of lost monarch families and ancient castles. The restoration of the Davidic throne speaks to the restoration of God’s Kingdom on earth through righteousness and justice loving leaders, implementing divine laws and decrees on the world stage. It has nothing to do with a cheap and superficial restoration of a tribal bloodline government that cannot bring to pass heaven’s dominion on earth.

Reader's digest: The symbol of Quetzalcoatl is the serpent adorned with feathers of the quetzal bird. "Quetzal" derived from "quetzalli", the term for feathered or plumed tail. "Coatl" means "serpent" and also "twin". The quetzal bird was considered one of the most beautiful birds in the world. Thus, Quetzalcoatl will be best translated as "precious twin" or beautiful twin. The serpent is the symbol of wisdom for the ancient Hebrews. Arphaxad, the Hebrew ancestor is represented by the serpent.

Quetzalcoatl means, "feathered or plumed" serpent or beautiful twin. It was at Teotihuacan, that the cult of Quetzalcoatl found its expression. In Aztec mythology, we find a recurring rivalry between two brothers: Quetzalcoatl worked in opposition to his brother Tezcatlipoca. The flying serpent (Quetzalcoatl) is frequently pitted against the black jaguar (Tezcatlipoca). 

The four ages of Aztec history are the outcome of this power struggle. Tezcatlipoca is in control of the fifth age. Topiltzin-Quetzalcoatl lost power and departed to the east by sea, while promising to return to take back his kingdom. When Moctezuma received word in 1519 that the Spanish had arrived via the eastern coast, the Aztec nobility believed the prophecy about the return of Quetzalcoatl. Quetzalcoatl represents a priestly ruling class that helped carry the Aztec civilization through the ages.

Topiltzin-Quetzalcoatl, known as the great priest-ruler, was famous as a wise ruler. Under his rulership, the capital city of Tollan-Tula became incredibly prosperous. Various historical accounts told that, when he lost power, he parted the sea, led his followers in a march along the ocean floor, while promising to return one day to take back his kingdom. Legend tells that this great ruler descended to the underworld to shed his blood unto the bones of the deceased to give them life again. As such, he is the first Father who gave his blood, sacrificed himself for the well-being of humankind, and caused maize to be reborn from seed. Aztecs speak about the crucifixion of Quetzalcoatl. According to prophecy, Quetzalcoatl will return to reclaim his kingdom. That is the reason why Quetzalcoatl has been seen throughout the ages as a proto-christian.

The restoration of kingship occurs via the Lord ruling from Jerusalem through his house. In the Kingdom age, God will place in position of power leaders totally dedicated to his divine government agenda on earth. For instance, God's laws stand against abortion. We will see rising into leadership world leaders and lawyers who oppose abortion. 

Why the choice of Jerusalem? God appointed Jerusalem as a Home of justice and righteousness to enlighten the whole planet. All nations and kings on earth are coming to see and run government affairs according to God’s light as demonstrated in Jerusalem. All nations have to move to the shining light displayed in Jerusalem. Home is Jerusalem for everyone and every nation. And there is no other home that can escape or survive God’s coming dominion. The restoration of God’s dominion on earth comes about when heaven’ laws become the common life-abiding principles for the nations of the world. Rightfully then, divine justice overtakes the planet because human rebellion has been defeated and God’s laws become the currency of the day. 

“Hear me, Israel, for my law will be proclaimed, and my justice will become a light to the nations...My righteous rule will never end!” Isaiah 51: 4-6. 

However, there is only one unique identity required to belong to Jerusalem. Jerusalem is home only and without excuse to the righteous. Jerusalem is home of the righteous people of God. If one claims to have an heritage in Jerusalem as home, then one must be righteous. Unrighteous people and wicked nations will never enter Jerusalem: 

“all your people will be righteous.” Isaiah 60:21. 

How is that possible? Christ’s government on earth is connected to the Davidic government. Christ’s death made it possible for outsiders to become righteous and partakers of the privileges bestowed to the citizens of Jerusalem. Christ has open the gates of Israel to all gentile nations and individual people that have turned from rebellion against the true and living God. Jesus is the door for the gentiles to become partakers of the covenant. Zechariah 2: 10-12 explains the Messiah’s open door to the gentiles.

“Shout and rejoice, O beautiful Jerusalem, for I am coming to live among you. Many nations will join themselves to the Lord on that day, and they, too, will be my people. I will live among you, and you will know that the Lord of Heaven’s Armies sent me to you. The land of Judah will be the Lord’s special possession in the holy land, and he will once again choose Jerusalem to be his own city.”  

Understandably, Jerusalem has become too small to accommodate all her children born in their rebellious harbor villages of exile. Nations and gentiles were exiled from the living God of Israel because of their sins. Turning their back to rebellion against God through repentance brings them back home in Jerusalem. The long journey to Jerusalem is impossible without repentance by the Messiah’s blood. That's the reason why all christians have the obligation and the mandate to pray for Israel because they have been planted on this branch. The Messiah’s redemption plan goes beyond the mere restoration of Israel alone. Christ’s mandate is to restore God’s government to the whole world, starting with Israel. Isaiah 49: 6 reminds us that Christ’s salvation mandate goes beyond Israel’s physical borders.

“You will do more than restore the people of Israel to me. I will make you a light to the Gentiles, and you will bring my salvation to the ends of the earth.” 

God’s ultimate purpose is to place a righteous leader (king) to manage heaven’s government on earth, saturating planet earth with the knowledge of the glory of God. Jesus Christ fulfills the three key promises of the Davidic covenant: (a) the throne; (b) the house; (c) and the kingdom. The Davidic throne is fully manifested in Christ’s reign on earth.

II. Who Are The World Rulers Called To Govern From David's Throne ? 

Kingship is not whose bloodline you carry, but whose government mandate you bring to pass in a nation. Restoring kingship is not preserving a bloodline heritage, but rather a call to restoring heaven’s mandate on earth. What does it take for one to sit on David’s throne? God is speaking about a bloodline of righteous people coming into leadership. Sharing the Davidic bloodline is not enough if one is wicked. David's line is a bloodline of righteousness, justice, peace loving people. Jeremiah 22: 2-3 spells out what it takes to hold the scepter of David. 

“Listen to this message from the Lord, you king of Judah, sitting on David’s throne. ‘Be fair-minded and just. Do what is right! Help those who have been robbed. Rescue them from their oppressors. Quit your evil deeds! Do not mistreat foreigners, orphans, and widows. Stop murdering the innocent!’”

The throne of David is government for the purpose of giving justice to the people, building a wall of righteousness to protect the nation against evil, and eradicating oppression and violence. The Davidic governmental paradigm is informed by heaven’s government blueprint as demonstrated in Israel for all to see and follow. God has demonstrated justice and fair judgment on behalf of Israel when the nation was under economic and political oppression. Deuteronomy 10: 17-19 is a clear reminder of where the kingship mandate originates. 

God “shows no partiality and cannot be bribed. He ensures that orphans and widows received justice. He shows love to the foreigners living among you and gives them food and clothing. So you too, must show love to foreigners, for you yourselves were once foreigners in the land of Egypt.” 

The source of government comes from the heavenly King who rules with the scepter of justice and righteousness. Psalm 99: 1 sings to us the source of Kingdom regime of government.

 “The Lord is King! Lover of justice, you have established fairness. You have acted with justice and righteousness throughout Israel.” And Psalm 103: 6 singled out for us the author of fairness to all living beings on earth. 

“The Lord gives righteousness and justice to all who are treated unfairly.” 

 Let's quickly go through the seven cardinal purposes of the Davidic government.

III. The Hallmarks Of Godly Chosen Leaders : 7 Cardinal Purposes of The Davidic Model Of Government

Demonstratively, Psalm 72: 1-17 sums up a testament of the Davidic paradigm of government as rendered to us by king Solomon. The Davidic paradigm of government is the visible manifestation of the Messiah’s model of government on earth. David’s throne stands for the Messiah’s kingdom on earth. God's leaders on earth bear the hallmarks of the Davidic paradigm of government.

Give your love of justice to the king, O God, and righteousness to the king’s son. May all the godly flourish during his reign. Help him judge your people in the right way. Let the poor always be treated fairly. He will rescue the poor when they cry to him; he will help the oppressed who have no one to defend them. He feels pity for the weak and the needy, and he will rescue them. He will redeem them from oppression and violence, for their lives are precious to him. May the mountains yield prosperity for all, and may the hills be fruitful. May the king’s rule be refreshing like spring rain on freshly cut grass, like the showers that water the earth. May there be abundant prosperity until the moon is no more. May there be abundant grain throughout the land. And may the people thrive like grass in a field. May he reign from sea to sea, and from the Euphrates River to the ends of the earth. All kings will bow before him, and all nations will serve him. May all the nations be blessed through him and bring him praise.”

One, The Davidic throne works to restore divine Justice and Laws on earth

Kingship is a demonstration of justice and righteousness in the nation to impeach tyranny and oppressive rule on earth. King David came to the awareness that when there is a dominion of justice on the earth, there is happiness and joy all over the world. And only God could take credit for such dominion of justice on earth. The scepter of David is a government to raise righteous people for the nation. “May all the godly flourish during his reign”. That is why Psalm 67: 11 connects kingship to God’s dominion of justice upon the nations. 

“Let the whole world sing for joy, because you govern the nations with justice and guide the people of the whole world.” 

Two, The Davidic Governmental mandate Achieves Righteous And Fair Judgment On earth  

In Psalm 94:15-20, David the king reminds us that leaders whose decrees permit injustice cannot claim that God is on their side and stand with them. For a king with a divine mandate, “judgment will again be founded on justice, and those with virtuous hearts will pursue it.”   

Jerusalem as a spiritual city speaks to the justice of God. The provision of good judges is the channel that God uses to enable the flow of justice in the nation. 

“Then I will give you good judges and wise counselors like you used to have. Then Jerusalem will again be called the Home of justice and the Faithful city.” Isaiah 1: 26

Three, David’s Throne Governs for the Poor and the Oppressed 

To govern is to provide a fair treatment and a rescue plan for those who are left behind in order to promote harmony and social cohesion in the nation. A king is a caretaker and a life giver to his subjects. Where the king is, there is a flow of life and forgotten people are restored to the standards of living proper to the kingdom’s ideals and expectations. A king does not turn his back to the poor and the oppressed, because poverty and violence reflect the outcome of his policies while testing the quality of his leadership. Poverty is a signal flag of where the king’s dominion has failed to reach. The swamp of poor populations is an indicator of ungoverned territories as well as a verdict of failed government. The purpose of the Davidic government is a reign that eradicates poverty out of the kingdom. The influence of a king drains poverty out of a royal dominion.

Four, The Davidic government is for world redemption from oppression and violence 

David’s throne speaks to the restoration of freedom and peace in the world. A king commands prosperity and well being. Where the king is, there is wealth, power, and abundance to feed the nation. The king’s horn speaks to the oversupply of oil for a nation. Governing is to ensure the perpetual flow of wealth and prosperity to the citizens and not subdue them by threats of violence. As a matter of fact, the level of economic success in a kingdom is measured by the purchasing power of the citizens. A kingdom is prosperous, not when citizens are over taxed, but when they are free from the heavy yoke of taxation in order to prosper. And a kingdom is secure when its citizens are protected against violence. The widespread of violence in a nation is a test to the quality of a king’s dominion. Israel as a nation and a model of government speaks to the future destruction of satanic power and evil government in the world. As Isaiah 14;4-7 made it clear, the purpose of the Davidic scepter is to destroy the satanic oppressive system of government that has been ruling the world for so long.

“How the oppressor has ceased, and how his fury has ended! The Lord has broken the staff of the wicked, the scepter of the rulers. It struck the peoples in anger with unceasing blows; it subdued the nation in rage with relentless persecution. All the earth is at peace and at rest; they break out in song.”  

Five, The throne of David Brings World Prosperity and Peace For Nations. 

The Davidic scepter is a leadership where mountains, understood as decision making places, yield prosperity and peace for all. Governing is fulfilling the mandate of a gardner for a nation. Kingship is taking care of a garden to make it prosper. As such, David is the gardner God placed on earth and his rule is to be refreshing like spring rain on freshly cut grass, like the showers that water the earth. Governing is to lead the people to thrive like grass in a garden. The test of a good leader is when people thrive under his reign, because government is all about how to make people flourish and bear abundant fruits to reflect the highest policies of the nation. When citizens don’t thrive, it means they have not been governed at all, but rather under oppressive rule. Governing is to bring prosperity and abundance for a nation. 

Therefore, David’s government is all about preparing a perpetual joyous celebration for the citizens. At David’s throne, no one shows up with tears and a gloomy face. King David’s palace is for celebration, not a funeral home. Zion is a place of holy festivals. Jerusalem is a city of peace. Government is to give peoples opportunities to celebrate and stop funeral songs. Jerusalem speaks to the future banquet hall for the world to come and celebrate. 

“In Jerusalem, the Lord of Heaven’s Armies will spread a wonderful feast for all the people of the world. It will be a delicious banquet with clear, well-aged wine and choice meat. There He will remove the cloud of gloom, the shadow of death that hangs over the earth. He will swallow up death forever! The Sovereign Lord will wipe away all tears.”Isaiah 25: 6-8

The Davidic throne speaks to the promise of peace and prosperity to Jerusalem. Governing is for the purpose of allowing peace and prosperity to flow.

“This what the Lord says. I will give Jerusalem a river of peace and prosperity. The wealth of the nations will flow to her.” Isaiah 66: 12

Six, The throne of David is a Universal Reign

David’s government is expansionist. It goes from sea to sea until it has overtaken the entire planet earth. It is a government that spare no territory.

 “May he reign from sea to sea, and from the Euphrates River to the ends of the earth.” 

Christ’s coming government is overtaking and conquering the entire world. The Davidic government has an international mandate to restore God’s dominion over all the nations of the earth. All governments on earth will submit to God’s government. “All kings will bow before him, and all nations will serve him.”

 Seven, The Davidic Government Fulfills the Purpose of Blessing all Nations of the Earth. 

David’s throne is to bring God’s blessings to the nations of the earth.

IV. The Messiah’s Government On Earth

Christ governs through a throne, a house, and a Kingdom. Christ’s government on earth is connected with the fulfillment of the Davidic covenant regarding the throne, the house, and the kingdom. Here again, Christ's government will be visible through leaders on earth who bear the hallmarks of the Davidic throne.

 David’s Son On the Throne for all Eternity

Isaiah 16:5 speaks about the one sitting on the throne of David. “Judgment and justice” will be the hallmarks of Christ’s coming government to put to rest corruption, oppression, and injustice that rock world governments without exception. 

“In loving devotion a throne will be established in the tent of David. A judge seeking justice and prompt in righteousness will sit on it in faithfulness.”

Isaiah 9: 6-7 speaks about Christ’s everlasting government on earth.

“For a child is born to us, a son is given to us. The government will rest on his shoulders. And he will be called: Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. His government and its peace will never end. He will rule with fairness and justice from the throne of his ancestors David for all eternity.” 

In Luke 1: 31-33, Mary receives a prophecy concerning the birth of an heir to David’s throne.

“ You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you will name him Jesus. He will be very great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his ancestor David. And he will reign over Israel forever, his kingdom will never end.” 

And in Isaiah 11:10, a prophecy is given about the one sitting on the throne of David as a savior of the world. 

“In that day the heir of David’s throne will be a banner of salvation to all the world. The nations will rally to him.” 

In Isaiah 11: 4, the heir to the throne of David is taking upon his shoulders the same governmental mandate given to David. 

“But with righteousness He will judge the poor, and with equity He will decide in favor of the earth’s oppressed. He will strike the earth with the rod of His mouth and slay the wicked with the breath of His lips.”  

 A House or a Dynasty of Kings To Run World Affairs 

God's house or a dynasty of kings chosen by God is called to govern the earth. This dynasty is not a brotherhood of rulers. The dynasty of king is Kingdom agenda driven rulers. It is not a blood related mandate.  All over the world, God has began positioning leaders who are pro - God agenda oriented.  

In 1 Chronicle 17: 10, there is a prophecy given to David about a coming dynasty of kings.

“I declare that the Lord will build a house for you - a dynasty of kings!” Zechariah 12:8-10 describes the specific qualities of the house of David.

“On that day the Lord will defend the people of Jerusalem; the weakest among them will be as mighty as king David! And the royal house of David will be like God, like the angel of the Lord who goes before them! Then I will pour out a spirit of grace and prayer on the family of David and on the people of Jerusalem. They will look on me whom they have pierced and mourn for him as for an only son.” 

One common feature of David’s house is its governmental nature that is a replica of heaven’s throne. Through the house of David, God’s sovereign government will be restored over all the nations of the planet. Isaiah 32:1 clearly sees the time coming when there will be a king who rules with integrity, and national leaders who govern with justice protecting the people against violence and threats of oppression: 

“Look, a righteous king is coming! And honest princes will rule under him.” 

This dynasty will take control of the whole world from Jerusalem as the judicial, legislative, and spiritual center of the earth. As Micah foresaw the coming Kingdom, Jerusalem will become a world center of conflicts resolutions and peace, the world capital of diplomatic negotiations and mediation.

The Last & Final World Government 

The term “kingdom” - basilea - is understood in this context, as sovereignty, royal power and dominion. Daniel 2, 7, and 8 describes the five-world great ruling empires that king Nebuchadnezzar saw in his vision that are going to rule the world. The Babylonian empire, the kings of Media and Persia, the kingdom of Greece, and the Roman empire with its 10 resurging world powers to this day. These four great civilizations or kingdoms exercised control and dominion by war and coercive power over people and lands through their laws, kings, and governments. We still visit the ruins of these empires today and are still shaped by their ideologies and carrying the yoke of their financial  worldwide networks. The fifth kingdom to come is going to displace the four previous ones. The fifth coming kingdom on earth is the kingdom of God. Daniel 7:27 announced the final and lasting world kingdom with such clear cut from the past : 

“ Then the sovereignty, power, and greatness of the kingdoms under the whole heaven will be handed over to the saints, the people of the Most High. His kingdom will be an everlasting kingdom, and all rulers will worship and obey Him.”

After thousands of years experimenting human governments on earth, we have come to an admission of failures and setbacks. There has never been a year without war, turmoil, violence, systemic corruption, and suffering around the world. Humanity does not know how to live right and govern the earth in righteousness. As Psalm 14: 1-3 reminds us: 

“They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none who does good. The Lord looks down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there are any who understand, who seek God. they have all turned aside, they have together become corrupt; there is none who does good, no, not one.”

The world needs at last a Kingdom or government that comes along with salvation. The only government that can fulfill salvation and righteousness on earth according to heaven’s blueprint is the last and final coming government as God wants it. In Revelation 11: 15, the world is won to Christ and become God’s kingdom on earth. 

“The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of His Christ; and He will reign forever and ever.” 

Jesus through his blood purchased men and women, and made them to be a kingdom and priests to our God; and they will reign upon the earth as Revelation 5: 9-10 foretells us.

“And the Lord will be king over all the earth. On that day there will be one Lord - his name alone will be worshiped.” Zechariah 14: 9

The throne of David speaks to the destruction of satan’s government on the earth. 

“ ‘Look, O mighty mountain, destroyer of the earth! I am your enemy,’ says the Lord. ‘I will raise my fist against you, to knock you down from the heights. When I am finished, you will be nothing but a heap of burnt rubble. You will be desolate forever. Even your stones will never again be used for building. You will be completely wiped out.’ says the Lord.” Jeremiah 51: 25
